Victoria Churches Pilgrimage

All are invited to go on a pilgrimage to see the beauty of our faith at some of the most beautiful churches in Victoria, Texas. The distance between the chancery and Our Lady of Lourdes is 2.6 miles and 0.4 miles between Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Mary’s. Please dress appropriately, wear comfortable walking shoes, bring sunscreen, a backpack, lunch and snacks, two bottles of water, and get ready to take a lot of pictures! 

Please do not wear short shorts, exercise/basketball shorts, tank tops, muscle shirts, flips flops, or anything inappropriate for Mass. Shorts are okay but they need to be an appropriate length. 

Pilgrimage helps us to encounter God and to realize that we are only pilgrims in this world and are journeying towards heaven. I pray that we will all enjoy this special pilgrimage through Victoria.

This is a pilgrimage route that goes through the city of Victoria. Our rough itinerary is as follows: 

9:30am Arrive and meet at Chancery of the Diocese of Victoria.

10:00am Tour of the Chancery.  

10:30am Walk to the Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory - Tour and pray.

11:30am Walk to Our Lady of Lourdes.   

12:30pm Tour and Pray at Our Lady of Lourdes.

1:30pm Walk to DeLeon Plaza for Lunch

2:30pm Tour and Pray St. Mary’s. 

3:30pm Walk back to the Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory.

5:30pm Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory

We will be praying the rosary and other devotions while we walk to the different churches.

Things to bring: Backpack, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, 2 bottles of water, sack lunch, rosary and snacks.
