St. Robert's Parish, Knights of Columbus, Council #9393 and the El Campo Community applaud the Medellin's on their accomplishments and the stong example they set for all families within our community. 

Below is how they continue to serve here at St. Robert's as a family: 

• Bennie Medellin is an evangelist and has taught Welcome Home in Spanish here at St. Robert's for 9 years.
• ​​​​​​​She is also an evangelist for Faith Formation and helps with 6th grade. She is the leader for Bible Family Groups, and a member of both Grupo de Oracion, and the Altar Society.  
• Pedro Medellin has helped with the special building projects team to prepare the grounds around Casa San Roberto with the fence, volunteering his time on the weekends. 
• They have three children together, Ashley, Jared and Angelie. 
• Their family is also members of the Serran Club (which is all about praying and supporting Vocations), and their son Jared is currently discerning on pursuing a vocation in the priesthood.
• Bennie, Jared and Angelie have spent many hours helping at retreats here and around the area. Most recently they helped at a New Life Retreat in Palacios a few weeks ago.

Below is how they continue to serve here at St. Robert's as a family: 

• ​​​​​​​For years they have worked with the Diocese of Victoria, Office of Family Evangelization to promote marriages with Marriage Ambassadors, Choosing to LOVE Retreats, Continuing to LOVE gatherings and Engaged Encounter, which they most recently have been appointed as the Coordinators for the Diocese.
• Together they completed the year-long formation for Missionaries to the Family in 2022 and were commissioned here at St. Robert’s by Father Philip. 
• They are also the coordinators for the Missionaries to the Family Ministry here at the parish and have organized the 3 Date Nights hosted here at St. Robert’s.
• Together they have volunteered as Evangelists for the last two years with our Sacramental Program for Confirmation and this year their class will be Confirmed.
• Also they both are on the newly formed St. Robert’s Pastoral Council. 
• Kenny is the coordinator of the newly formed Men’s Group Ministry, That Man Is You. 
• Josiah is their oldest child. He is in the 4th grade, an altar server and was crowned 2021 King of the St. Robert’s Festival. Their youngest son Jericho is in the 3rd grade, an altar server and is currently a candidate and running for the 2023 King Title this year. Mila their oldest daughter is currently attending PRE-K3 at St Philip's Catholic School. Scarlett is their youngest child and just turned one in June.

Below is how they continue to serve here at St. Robert's as a family: 

• Tomas and Lala are both members of Ministerio Hispano and the Pastoral Council. 
• They are leaders in Grupo de Oracion, and have helped with many retreats held here at St. Robert’s including the New Life in the Holy Spirit Retreat this weekend.
• They are also evangelists and teach faith formation to adults on Sundays. 
• They are actively involved with Liturgical Ministries, with Lala over the Sacristans and Tomas over the Ministry of Hospitality for all Spanish Masses.
• Their daughters Jaynee and Emily are Altar Servers and are members of JCDA.
